CEMA is the local emergency-management name to know in St. Louis City. The City departments directory puts the City Emergency Management Agency on Olive Street with its own contact path, separate from police, fire, and state offices.
Emergency work has layers. Missouri SEMA handles statewide emergency-management information. CEMA is the city office for local preparedness, coordination, and follow-up after a city emergency. A resident sorting out alerts, shelter links, cooling or warming information, or recovery resources should know which layer is city and which layer is state.
