Morgan County offers a real-estate tax installment path

Versailles taxpayers with a Morgan County real-estate bill do not have to think of December as the only payment season. The Collector’s installment program is for next year’s real-estate taxes, with three equal payments and a final balance payment due by December 31.

The amount starts from the prior year’s real-estate tax. Coupons are mailed for the March, June, September, and final payments, and each tax bill gets its own payment plan. The program is not for delinquent tax bills, and credit cards are not accepted for installment payments.

After you request the plan, it keeps going until you tell the office you no longer want it. A second home, lake place, or separate parcel can need its own plan.
