A Christian County tax waiver is vehicle paperwork, not a tax payment

Christian County sources describe a statement of non-assessment, or tax waiver, as a document used when a person does not owe personal property tax for the needed year.

A tax waiver is not the same thing as a paid tax receipt.

In Christian County, a statement of non-assessment is also called a tax waiver. It shows that a person, business, or corporation does not owe personal property tax for the year at issue.

That can matter when licensing a vehicle. Some paperwork calls for a validated tax receipt. Other situations call for the right non-assessment document instead. A newcomer or person who did not owe Christian County personal property tax for that year may need the waiver path.

Do not try to print a paid receipt that does not exist. Ask the assessor or collector which document fits the year and situation.
