College of the Ozarks anchors Point Lookout above Taneycomo
Point Lookout is one of those Taney County names that feels small on a map but has a real anchor. College of the Ozarks uses Point Lookout as its physical address, and one of its named campus sights looks out over the Ozark hills and Lake Taneycomo.
That helps keep Taney County from becoming a Branson-only story. A student, visitor, worker, or neighbor may be dealing with Point Lookout as a campus place first, not just as a county label.
