St. Louis County tax receipts are a separate lookup
The County Collector lets residents print tax receipts online, which matters when a plate office or lender asks for proof after payment.
The plate-renewal errand often fails on a small piece of paper: the tax receipt. In St. Louis County, paying the bill and finding a usable receipt are related jobs, but they are not the same screen.
The Collector of Revenue handles the tax account. The online receipt lookup lets a resident search by name, address, or account number and choose the tax year. That is especially handy for personal property taxes, where a license office, lender, or records file may need proof after payment.
If the payment was recent, give it time to post before hunting for the receipt. For value questions, the Assessor is the right office. For paid bills, receipts, and proof, stay with the Collector’s tax-receipt lane.
