City park lakes connect to MDC's urban fishing program
St. Louis City park-lake pages point anglers to the Missouri Department of Conservation's St. Louis Urban Fishing Program, so fish rules and stocking details are not only a parks question.
Fishing in St. Louis City parks has two official layers. The City parks site lists park lakes, and its lake pages point to the Missouri Department of Conservation’s St. Louis Urban Fishing Program.
That is useful because a park lake is still a fishing-regulation question. The City can tell you about the park and amenity. MDC is the Missouri source for fishing permits, seasons, species rules, and stocking details. Before bringing rods to a small city lake, check both.
This is local Color with a practical job: it keeps a Forest Park, Carondelet, Benton Park, or O’Fallon Park lake visit tied to the right agency.
