Harry S Truman State Park sits on a peninsula that reaches into Truman Lake near Warsaw, in Benton County. It is run by Missouri State Parks. The lake itself, along with the dam, is run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District.

The park gives you a place to get out on the water. You can camp, hike the trails, and fish for crappie, bass, and catfish. There is a marina with boat slips, plus picnic spots and a playground. If you are new to the county, it is an easy place to start when you want to learn the local lake.
