Lake of the Ozarks / Osage Region
Kaysinger Bluff is where the Corps explains Truman Lake
The Corps' Truman visitor center on Kaysinger Bluff explains the dam, Osage River Valley history, wildlife, and the line between Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks.
Kaysinger Bluff gives Benton County a high, official window onto Truman Lake. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the Harry S. Truman Regional Visitor Center sits on Kaysinger Bluff and overlooks Truman Dam and Reservoir.
The Corps page says visitor-center exhibits cover cultural history, wildlife, environmental management, Corps missions, dam construction, and powerhouse operation. It also says upper-deck views let visitors see both Harry S. Truman Dam and Reservoir and the Lake of the Ozarks.
That makes the bluff a useful place-specific note, not just a tourist stop. It helps explain why Warsaw sits between two lake systems and why the Corps is such a major local source. For current access, exhibits, trails, and project information, check the Corps page before relying on older brochures.
