New Melle Lakes adds a lake-park layer west of the suburbs
The Park at New Melle Lakes fills in another western St. Charles County layer. The county parks page places it on Foristell Road in New Melle and lists paved and natural-surface trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, lakes for fishing, and kayaking or paddleboarding.
The county’s paddle-share page also lists New Melle Lakes as one of the county parks with self-serve watercraft rentals. That makes the park a county-run lake place, not a state park or private subdivision amenity.
For a local reader, the useful move is simple: check St. Charles County Parks for access, rentals, and rules before planning a lake outing there.
That keeps the park grounded as a public county amenity on the western side of the county, not just another lake name.
