Klondike Park is a county park tied to the Katy Trail corridor
Klondike Park gives St. Charles County a county-park layer along the Missouri River and Katy Trail corridor. The county says the park is at 4600 Highway 94 South in Augusta and includes more than four miles of paved and natural-surface multi-use trails, a lake for fishing and paddling, wildlife areas, shelters, playgrounds, and cabin and tent camping.
Missouri State Parks also lists Klondike Park as a nearby service point for the Katy Trail’s Matson Trailhead area, including parking, restroom, water, camping, and food or lodging context nearby. For a visitor, the useful distinction is that the Katy Trail is a state park trail, while Klondike is a St. Charles County park. Check the county parks page for park rules and reservations, and Missouri State Parks for trail conditions.
