The Daniel Boone Home is a county park in Defiance
One of St. Charles County’s strongest local-history anchors is not in downtown St. Charles. The Historic Daniel Boone Home is at 1868 Highway F in Defiance, in the Femme Osage area. St. Charles County says the site represents life in the early 1800s and includes a reconstructed 19th-century village.
The ownership layer is useful too. The county page says the Park Department acquired the property from Lindenwood University in 2016 and officially renamed the park Lindenwood Park. For a resident or visitor, that means the site is part of the county parks system, not just a private house museum.
