Broemmelsiek Park adds astronomy to St. Charles County parks
Broemmelsiek Park gives St. Charles County more than playgrounds and picnic shelters. The county parks page places the main park entrance on Highway DD in Defiance and describes paved and natural-surface trails, lakes for fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding, a dog park, an agriculture educational garden, and an astronomy viewing area. The same page lists a separate astronomy viewing area address on Schwede Road in Wentzville.
Use the county park source for trail access, reservations, park hours, and the specific astronomy-viewing location. Broemmelsiek puts western-county open space and night-sky programming beside the better-known Katy Trail and Missouri River corridor.
