Road questions may depend on the County Common area

“County Common” is the key phrase on Saline County’s road page. Road and Bridge maintains 411 miles of roads in that County Common area, while special road districts are listed as a separate local layer.

That means a road concern starts with location, not just the nearest town. A pothole, gravel issue, bridge concern, or flood-damage report may belong to the county common-area crew, a special road district, a city, or MoDOT.
