Pulaski County tax proof is only one part of plate renewal

Use the Pulaski County Collector for a paid tax receipt, the Assessor for a wrong assessment, and Missouri DOR for the rest of the plate-renewal checklist.

If plate renewal is waiting on county tax proof, start with the Pulaski County Collector. Its site lets you search tax records and pay online. But the Collector cannot change an assessment or correct the property shown on a bill; the county site directs those problems to the Assessor.

For a Missouri resident, DOR says a one-year registration needs proof for the previous tax year. A two-year registration needs the previous two years. The proof can be a paid personal property tax receipt or a statement of non-assessment. DOR also asks for the renewal notice or Form 184, inspection papers when they apply, proof of insurance, and the required fees.

Plates may be renewed up to six months early and are due by the last day of the expiration month. DOR lists a $5 penalty after that date. Use DOR’s Renewal Requirements Inquiry for the checklist tied to your registration, then use the Collector or Assessor only for the county part that belongs there.
