Platte County parcel search is useful with limits

Platte County’s assessor page is a practical starting point for property research because it points residents to property search, mapping, addresses, and GIS. The real-property page says the assessor supplies parcel-based land information and mapping to land professionals and the public, and that appraised and assessed values are available through parcel search.

The limit is just as important as the convenience. Platte County warns that maps and data are for illustration purposes and may not be suitable for site-specific decision making.

That means the parcel search is useful for orientation, tax records, assessed values, and first questions. It is not the final word for a fence line, building setback, driveway location, easement, or legal boundary. For those, use recorded plats, surveys, title work, or the county office that owns the permit or record.
