Warrensburg's city parks make a second outdoor layer

parkswarrensburgtrails

Johnson County’s outdoor identity is not only the state park near Knob Noster. Warrensburg has its own city park layer. The city parks page lists places such as Blind Boone Park, Cave Hollow Park, Grover Park, Hawthorne Park, Lion’s Lake/Culp Park, Marr Park, Shepard Park, and West Park. The parks and facilities page describes the city system as nine parks covering more than 400 acres, with trails, courts, playgrounds, ballfields, an aquatic center, and a community center.

Warrensburg is a university county seat, and its daily outdoor map includes short city trips as much as larger state-managed outings. Lion’s Lake, Cave Hollow, and Blind Boone Park are local names that show up in recreation plans and community events.

For a newcomer, use the city parks pages for local hours, rentals, and facilities. Use Missouri State Parks for Knob Noster State Park.
