Grand Falls ties Joplin to Shoal Creek

Shoal Creek gives Joplin one of its closest outdoor landmarks. Grand Falls sits on the creek only a few minutes from Wildcat Park, tying a city errand day to a very different kind of Newton County place. Joplin straddles the Jasper-Newton line, and both the falls and Wildcat Park sit on the Newton County side, just across from the city’s Jasper County core.
