A Kansas City address may need KCMO 311, not a county desk
Kansas City crosses county lines, but city service requests still follow the city. For a Jackson County address inside Kansas City, Missouri, potholes, illegal dumping, missed trash pickup, and other city-service reports usually start with KCMO 311 or the myKCMO app.
The City says 311 is the residents’ hotline for city services and information. It also says residents can report and track service requests through myKCMO.
That helps keep a common metro mistake out of the way. Jackson County handles county functions, but a Kansas City street, trash, code, or service question may belong to the City of Kansas City. Check the address and issue type before sending the request to the county.
