River 'Round Conservation Area bends with the Meramec
River ‘Round Conservation Area keeps the Meramec River visible on the St. Clair side of Franklin County. MDC says the conservation area is in Franklin County, borders the Meramec River for several miles, and includes sandbars, upland and bottomland forest, fields, parking, and a boat ramp.
That is local texture because Franklin County’s river places are not all the same. A reader can separate Meramec State Park, Robertsville, small river accesses, and MDC areas like River ‘Round.
For a float, fishing trip, or bank visit, start with MDC for area rules and maps. Then check weather and river conditions before relying on any sandbar or ramp.
That last check matters because Meramec access can change fast after rain, even at familiar local spots.
