Warm Springs Ranch south of Boonville is the Clydesdales' working breeding farm, with a foaling barn, veterinary lab, and pasture for horses from foals to stallions.
Long before a Budweiser Clydesdale steps into a parade, its story may begin in a foaling barn south of Boonville. Warm Springs Ranch is the official breeding facility for the horses.
The ranch was built in 2008 on more than 300 acres. It has a mare and stallion barn, a foaling barn, a veterinary lab, and 10 pastures with walk-in shelters. The ranch says more than 70 Clydesdales live there, from young foals to full-grown stallions.
That makes Warm Springs more than a display stop. It is the working Cooper County farm behind one of the country’s most familiar horse teams. Tours and event schedules change, so use the ranch site for current visitor details.
