Osage Beach makes Camden County a two-county city question
The City of Osage Beach links residents to both Camden County and Miller County, which is a useful reminder that city services and county offices can overlap around the lake.
Osage Beach is one of those lake cities where the county line can sneak into an ordinary errand. The city sits in the Lake of the Ozarks world, but a resident may still need to know whether an address belongs to Camden County or Miller County.
Start with the address, not just the city name. A city tax, permit, court, utility, or street question may begin with Osage Beach. A property-tax bill, recorder search, voter question, or county office errand may depend on which side of the county line the parcel sits on.
That is the local trick: city government and county government can both matter at the same address. Sort the city first, then the county.
