Camden County assessment questions start with the assessor
The Camden County Assessor values real and personal property as of Jan. 1, while tax payment questions go to the Collector.
A Camden tax bill is easier to sort when value and payment stay in separate piles. The Assessor appraises and assesses real property and personal property in Camden County as of Jan. 1 each year. That office is the place for assessment records, classifications, personal property lists, and value questions.
Payment is a Collector question. If the assessed value looks wrong, work with the Assessor on the record, the classification, and the appeal or correction path. If the value is right but the bill, receipt, or delinquency question is the problem, move to the Collector. Keeping the two offices straight can save a second courthouse trip and a lot of talking past the issue.
