Drake Harbor ties Warsaw's downtown to the Osage waterline
Drake Harbor in Warsaw links downtown Main Street, the Osage Arm of Lake of the Ozarks, riverfront trails, the boardwalk, festivals, and the Joe Dice bridge.
Drake Harbor makes Warsaw’s water story easy to see. Visit Missouri places it on the Osage River arm of Lake of the Ozarks, just one block from downtown Main Street.
The harbor has a layered origin. Visit Missouri says it was named for longtime resident and mayor Gordon Howard Drake, and that the city acquired the Corps of Engineers leased property after Truman Dam was built.
Today the practical pieces are the draw: riverfront trails, the Harbor loop, Steamboat Landing Boardwalk, boat access, fishing areas, picnic space, the Osage Amphitheater, and trail connections toward the Joe Dice Swinging Bridge.
For a Benton County page, Drake Harbor is a useful connector. It ties downtown Warsaw to water, trails, festivals, local history, and the county’s lake economy without making a visitor choose between town and outdoors.
